La amable invitación de D. Manuel Iñiguez Ruiz de Clavijo y D. Juan María Canals Casas, organizadores de las Jornadas de Encuentro con artistas tituladas «El arte y la arquitectura al servicio de la liturgia» celebradas en el mes de octubre de 2008 en la Sede de la Conferencia Episcopal Española, me planteó la posibilidad de una revisión sobre mis investigaciones y mi obra personal como arquitecto en relación con lo sagrado. Esta revisión me brindaría una reflexión sobre la manera de entender la arquitectura y el arte sacro en general, y las premisas que considero imprescindibles a la hora de afrontar un proyecto de este género.

The kind invitation of D. Manuel Iñiguez Ruiz de Clavijo y D. Juan María Canals Casas, organizers of the Encounter Journeys with artists, entitled “Art and architecture at the service of liturgy” celebrated during the month of October of 2008 in the headquarters of the Spanish Episcopal Conference, made me consider a revision of my research and practice as an architect centred on the sacred.This revision will grant me the opportunity to reflect on the way architecture and sacred art are understood in general, as well as on the premises I consider indispensable when confronted to a project of this kind.
